Internships
Graduate and Post-doctoral trainees are eligible to apply for internships for 1-2 semesters with the ACN Training Network’s partners in Industry and Health Care. Graduate and postdoctoral trainees are also eligible for Academic Internships in mentors’ academic labs affiliated with the ACN Network. Trainees receive a stipend ($3550) from NSERC-Create for the first 4-month semester of the internship and from the internship partner for the second semester.
Instructions for Trainees: Trainees should first read the websites of the internship partners and mentors to identify areas of interest relevant to their research training. After conferring with their research advisor, trainees submit a letter of application (ACNintern-application) to the ACN grant Program Coordinator which outlines: Internship Partner of interest, research proposal (for academic internships), dates for proposed internship, and an updated vita. Program staff will contact trainees shortly afterwards. Applications are accepted at any time of year.
