Internships
Graduate and Post-doctoral trainees are eligible to apply for internships for 1-2 semesters with the ACN Training Network’s partners in Industry and Health Care. Trainees receive a stipend toward living expenses during the internships, as well as travel expenses. Graduate and postdoctoral trainees are also eligible for Academic Internships in mentors’ academic labs affiliated with the ACN Network. Travel expenses only are covered by the ACN Training Network for Academic Internships that occur at sites outside the trainee’s home institution city.
Instructions for Trainees: Trainees should first read the websites of the internship partners to identify areas of interest relevant to their research training. After conferring with their graduate advisor, trainees submit a statement of interest to the ACN grant Program Coordinator which outlines: Internship Partner of interest, research topic interest, dates for proposed internship, and an updated vita. Partners will be contacted by Program staff, who will then contact trainees. Statements of interest are accepted at any time of year.
